Facevel's Hotspots and Location Listings feature allows users and businesses to discover, share, and interact with places, venues, and points of interest. This policy explains how location-based content is managed, what users can and cannot do, and how we handle location data on the platform.
2. What Are Hotspots & Location Listings?
Hotspots and Location Listings are user-submitted or system-generated entries that represent real-world locations such as restaurants, events, public spaces, businesses, or other points of interest. These listings may include:
- Business names and addresses
- Photos and media associated with a location
- User reviews and check-ins
- Operating hours and contact information
- Maps and directional data
3. User-Submitted Listings
Users may submit location listings subject to the following rules:
- Listings must represent real, verifiable locations
- You must have the right to submit information about the location
- Listings must not violate any individual's privacy or safety
- Businesses may claim and manage their own listings by contacting info@facevel.com
- Residential or private addresses must not be listed without explicit consent of the occupant
4. Accuracy Disclaimer
Facevel does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any location listing or hotspot data. Information may be outdated, incorrect, or incomplete. Users should independently verify location details before acting on them. Facevel is not liable for any loss, inconvenience, or harm resulting from reliance on listing information.
5. Location Data & Privacy
When you use location-based features on Facevel, we may collect and process your geographic location data. This data is used to provide relevant listings and improve your experience. By enabling location features, you consent to this data collection as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You may disable location access at any time from your device settings or account preferences
- Precise location data is never shared publicly without your explicit consent
- Check-in data is shared only as specified in your privacy settings
6. Prohibited Listings
The following types of listings are strictly prohibited:
- Private residences without the occupant's consent
- Listings designed to harass, stalk, or harm individuals
- Fake, misleading, or fraudulent locations
- Locations associated with illegal activity
- Content that violates any individual's right to privacy or safety
7. Removal Requests
If you believe a listing violates your privacy or contains incorrect information about your business or property, you may request its removal by:
- Using the in-app "Report" feature on the listing
- Emailing info@facevel.com with details of the listing and the reason for removal
We will review all removal requests within 5 business days.
8. Third-Party Mapping Services
Facevel may use third-party mapping and location services (such as Google Maps or OpenStreetMap) to power location features. Your use of these features is also subject to the terms of those third-party providers. Facevel is not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party mapping data.
9. Business Listings
Business owners wishing to claim, update, or remove their listing should contact us at info@facevel.com. Verified business accounts may receive additional listing management features.
10. Changes to This Policy
Facevel reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Changes will be communicated via the platform or email. Continued use of location features after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
